DMAE (Bitartate) 22 mg Enhanced Formula Syrup
Product Description
DMAE, or dimethylaminoethanol or dimethylethanolamine, is a transparent, pale-yellow liquid organic compound which is also known as deanol, N,N-dimethyl-2-aminoethanol, beta-hydroxyethyldimethylamine, and beta-dimethylaminoethyl alcohol. It has a lot of industrial uses such as acting as emulsifiers, an additive to paint removers, a curing agent for polyurethanes and resins, and much more. In the field of medicine, DMAE is used in the management of childhood hyperkinesis (Knobel M. "Approach to a combined pharmacologic therapy of childhood hyperkinesis." Behav Neuropsychiatry. 1974 Apr-1975 Mar;6(1-12):87-90). A vitamin-mineral drug combination containing DMAE had also been tested on 80 subjects and was found to induce a psychophysiological state of well-being in subjects experiencing borderline emotional disturbance (Dimpfel W, Wedekind W, and Keplinger I. "Efficacy of dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) containing vitamin-mineral drug combination on EEG patterns in the presence of different emotional states." Eur J Med Res. 2003 May 30;8(5):183-91). DMAE has also been found to induce favorable effects on the skin, such as hydrating it and increasing its dermal thickness, and is thus used in anti-aging formulations (Tadini KA and Campos PM. "In vivo skin effects of a dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) based formulation." Pharmazie. 2009 Dec;64(12):818-22).
